First release Tara#100 in 1958/May19
Second release Josie#843 in 1958/Aug.18

Here’s a cool moody rockabilly item from Houston, Texas. The Moonlighters were a combo who recorded for the little Tara Records label in a session at the now legendary ACA Studios. It was the first of two singles they cut, and it was picked up for national release on Josie, but this is their 1958 original local release, which is far more rare.

“Broken Heart” is a spooky rockabilly lament. It’s appeared on several rockabilly compilations, including: Rock & Roll Orgy, Vol. 4; Teen Scene, Vol. 2; and Goin’ Wild, Country Rockers Vol. 3. This single is flipped with “Glow Of Love”

About Der Landstreicher

(Landstreicherlied, Arnold Waldwagner)...........
