The Inferno: Girl, girl (Michigan, 1968, Plastic Rec.15382)

A haunting and mesmerizing moody punk ballad I’ve discovered recently. A very sparse, airy feel with an almost Hawaiian guitar sound via the use of tremolo arm being deployed while strumming the chords.
The Inferno were students at Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan. The 45 came out around Feb. 1968, and exists as a white label DJ copy and a black label, gold print stock copy. Quite rare to find either way. Oliver Tuthill was the leader of the group and main songwriter.
It’s said that only 2 copies exist. a copy costs nowadays more than 2700 $.

About Der Landstreicher

(Landstreicherlied, Arnold Waldwagner)...........
